Kay came up with the idea of parodying the song from the QANTAS ad to be about Google Chrome. Nicky/Sara have given it a dystopic tinge. It's a song all about Google taking over the world.
ORIGINAL: From New York to Rio and old London town But no matter how far Or how wide I roam I still call Australia home I'm always travelin' And I love bein' free So I keep leavin' the sun and the sea But my heart lies waiting over the foam I still call Australia home All the sons and daughters spinning 'round the world Away from their families and friends Ah, but as the world gets older and colder It's good to know where your journey ends And someday we'll all be together once more When all the ships come back to the shore Then I realize something I've always known I still call Australia home No matter how far Or how wide I roam I still call Australia home | PARAODY (a mix-and-match effort, final draft, thanks for all suggestions) For music, old movies, and news of the day Though their cameras in space, can spy on my home I'm still using Google Chrome They know my passwords, my mum's maiden name Where I keep my money, and my secret shame But I trust they won't take all that I own I'm still using Google Chrome All the Google users, searching 'round the world Rely on their servers and sites. So if you want your email, use Gmail With Google Chrome it'll be alright More dramatic And someday they'll cruelly demand what they're worth A world in four colours; a new Google Earth But perhaps they'lll spare me, for the loyalty I've shown - I kept using Google Chrome. They'll soon rule the world They already run my home Praise be to Google I'm still using Google All hail Google Chrome |
